In the state of Georgia, the city of Hamilton is in Harris County and serves as its county seat to look after major affairs. It has a population of 1,158 that live on a total area of 3.31 square miles. Founded in 1827, Hamilton is the administrative center for Harris County. Hamilton was the incorporated as a town the following year before finally becoming a city in 1903. It is positioned at the southern base of the Pine Mountain Range, which lies on the southernmost end of the Appalachian Mountains.
